Special Prize “Young Creative Contest”

Intro

The International Composition Competition “European Creative Contest”, promoted by Euregio Klassika, aims to stimulate the production, dissemination and enhancement of music created by young composers of our time. For us, this is a fundamental mission to encourage and promote the growth and development of society. To this end, Euregio Klassika has distinguished itself since its foundation for having supported the ability of the cultural system to plan and create networks that promote creativity, awareness, active participation, comparison and dialogue between different ideas and visions at local and international level. This action represents a conception of art that is not only a manifestation of talent and expressive capacity, but is combined with the positivity that surrounds it, with knowledge and with comparison.

Objectives and principles of the European Creative Contest

The International Composition Competition “European Creative Contest 2026”, organized by Euregio Klassika, aims to represent a meeting point between artists and cultural systems. The goal is to establish connections between composers, orchestras, choirs, concert institutions operating in the area, and cultural institutions at an international level. The territory of the Euregio and the city of Trento will therefore be a cultural meeting point: here the requests of the ones who aspire to be known for their works. The International Composition Competition “European Creative Contest” promoted by Euregio Klassika, in this 2026 edition has chosen the theme "Unity": from the richness of traditions to the creation of a common musical language, inspired by the values of cooperation and solidarity

Prizes and Contest Organization

The pieces awarded at the sole discretion of the commission will receive a diploma of merit, a cash prize and possible performance in public concerts by important concert institutions and musical associations. The judging committee will be composed of internationally renowned musicians and a representative of Euregio Klassika.

The European Creative Contest 2026, International Composition Competition by Euregio Klassika, will be divided into two sections:

1.Choir with even or mixed voices

2.Chamber Ensemble (from Trio to Chamber Orchestra).

The prize money of the competition is € 2300.00.
The first classified in each section who will have obtained a score of not less than 98/100 will be awarded a First Prize Diploma and the sum of € 700.00.
The second place winner who will have obtained a score of not less than 95/100 will be awarded a Second Prize Diploma and the sum of € 300.00.
The third place winner who will have obtained a score of not less than 90/100 will be awarded a Third Prize Diploma and the sum of € 150.00.
The Young Creative Contest Special Prize will receive a Diploma of Merit awarded by the popular jury

The compositions must have a minimum duration of 4 minutes and a maximum of 20 minutes and must be inspired by the theme "Unity".
To participate in the International Composition Competition European Creative Contest 2026, organized by Euregio Klassika, composers must send an application to segreteriaeuregioklassika@gmail.com .
Each candidate can send one or more unpublished compositions in pdf format as an attachment.

The candidate must also attach Youtube links (in "Unlisted" mode) with the audio of the song or songs presented.
Applications must be sent by 11.59 pm on 20th October 2026. The participation fee, of € 30 for each composition sent, must be paid at the time of registration, by bank transfer to the bank account of the Euregio Klassika Cultural Association, at:

The international jury will meet in Trento on 28 and 29 October 2026 at the Sala degli Affreschi of the Municipal Library in via Roma n. 55. The jury will initially identify the finalist songs through an autonomous and anonymous evaluation of each juror which will be followed by a collegial evaluation. On the second day, the jury will select the first, second, and third prizes in each section; the results will be communicated to the participants by email and published on the social media pages of Euregio Klassika.
As part of the International Composition Competition European Creative Contest 2026, the Special Prize is established: ● "Young Creative Contest" awarded by the popular jury, composed of young students and the accredited public.
